The Trip East
&
A Tad South
|
As perhaps you know Mr and Mrs Santa Claus spend the Warm Season in Northern Michigan at the Home Station. Thus, when the call comes they have to go East and a tad South to get to the Tidewater Region. The trip has always been an enjoyable one. For the first eleven years the sleigh was a 34 foot Motorcoach. Do ya know, there is many many ways to arrive at the Tidewater Region with a Motorcoach. One of the most enjoyable, was via North Carolina - now that for sure is a tad South. But no never mind the years of the 'big sleigh' have passed. For the last four years the major route was I-75, Ohio Turnpike, Pensy Turnpike, US 522, 17 and then I-64. Not such a bad trip, the Motels are good and for the most part in the correct place. Santa and the Mrs prefer short time, few miles and an early stop each day. One must stop in time for the Soaps, ya know. In Resent Years The Best Part Has Been The Late Fall Beauty
