Winter 2009

The Winter of 2008/2009 was a good one.  Lots and lots of snow.  In fact, most likely the most snow ever at the Home Station

Ma is missed.  Perhaps she is looking down and enjoyed the winter, also.  Pa's recovery progressed throughout the winter.  He did not plow his own drives.  The nice neighbor Scott took care of that joy.  All was good, Pa never was 'snowed in'.  No problem at all getting in and out.  The bum leg did not bother Pa at all.  All he had to do was to be careful -- make sure each foot is 'planted' before moving the other.

At time there was almost 2 feet of snow on the roof.  Pretty much at least a foot all winter long.  Despite the heavy snow - Winter was great.

The organization of the web site is changing once again.  Pa is not going to try to place the pictures within the Home Station Web Site.  But rather he is going to 'call' them from the  Home Station Photo Site.  The Home Station Photo Site is located @  www.picasaweb.google.com/homestation   The pictures there start from the August Picnic of 2008.  They are arranged by album / event.   The albums are dated - the date of the oldest picture in the album.  The older albums are at the bottom of the site and the newer at the top.   Pa figures you are wise enough to figure out the dates for Winter of 2009.  Then again, perhaps the cover image just might be a clue as to what is in the album.

One can look at the images one at a time or via a slide show.  The slide show is nice cause it has a black background like the old photo albums -- You remember them, don't ya. When in the slide show mode, you can turn of the slide show part off  and look one at a time with arrows at the bottom of the screen or the arrows on the keyboard.  Just give things a try and you will figure things out.

Should you find an image that ya really raally like you can download  it and keep it for what ever your heart desires.  Pa hopes that you enjoy the new set up.  Of course, while at the Home Station Photo Sit e you do not have to limit your 'looking'  for Winter 2009 only - you are welcome to look at the the whole Gallery.

If you like pictures of a fire in a fireplace - there is a lot of them.  An ole man needs something to do while setting with nothing to do - well yes  take pictures of the fire in the fireplace.
