| Spring
arrives rather slow at the Home Station. Some how some way
Ole
Winter does not like to let go. However, the warming days
eventually win the battle. The snow melts away, standing
water
and mud appear. In due time the trees bud out, the forest
floor
will green up. There are several good signs that Spring has,
in
fact arrived - The Cranes return to their nests South of Grayling - The
snow is gone and the drive drys up. Ole man Winter will lay a
few
late dusting of snow, just to protest the arrival of Spring.
The arrival of the ferns announce that Spring has turned to
Summer. |
