HOME  STATION

This is the Headquarters of the Home Station .  Ground was broken in the Spring of 1998.  For sixteen years prior to that time  Pa and Ma toured the Southeast  of the USA in an  RV.  Home was where we parked it.  It was a great life 'on the road' as 'full timers' - a great life.  But, it was time to 'hang up the keys'.

The Home Station is located in Michigan "Up North".  The nearest town is Grayling.  The lot, an acre and a half,  for the Home Station had been available since sometime in 73'.  In fact many times the Fifth Wheel or Motorcoach was parked in ' memory corner '.  Heck, we even had water from a hand driven well and electricity from generators.

The big event now at the Home Station is an annual gathering in August of each year.  We, of course have a city of many tents for the encampment.  What do we do, well we eat and eat . Then we build a campfire, play games and roast goodies.  We may even drink a tad.

Each fall we depart the Home Station.  Mid November Pa and Ma turn into Mr and Mrs Santa Claus.

Come the New Year we return to the Home Station.  Of course, winter has arrived.  But, no never mind we have a nice fireplace and are quite cozy.

We spend a lot of time watching TV. But, that is not the only thing we do. Both Pa and Ma have our Hobbies.

Clutter is what you see when you walk though the door into Pa's Office. This is not clutter it is the Operation Center for Pa's hobbies of Computer & Ham Radio. To keep this operation going it takes an antenna farm, one for the Computer, and others for the Ham Radio. One can not store all data on a hard drive or floppy therefore, one needs a Bookcase w/glass doors.

Upon entering Ma's Sewing Room, one is greeted with a neat room. First you see a Futon. She needs this, cause she works hard. Ma is also connected to the Internet via a Home Network. Her prime interests, however are reading and sewing. Her sewing machine is neatly put away.

Hobbies are nice but, best of all we like visitors.  We welcome your visit, first find your way to the intersection of I-75 and M-93 northeast of Grayling Michigan.  We know that you can do that - it is Exit 259.  But, before you come print this map.  Bring it along as it provides the final directions.  It's easy -- just come North on Evelyn, to the sign, hang right into the drive and you have arrived at the Home Station.  If you come to stay for awhile you can use Ma' Futon. Do not be surprised if there are other visitors.

Ya all come see us bye and bye.  But, most of all Take Care and Have Fun.
