At the Home Station, Fall is a super great time of the year. The
dry HOT days of Summer begin to cool just a tad. Best of all the
days are warm and the nights cool. Great for sleeping.
Best of all is the arrival of the Fall Color. The area near
the Home Station is mostly pines, but we do have a few
hardwoods, and the color per tree is outstanding.
The nearest large stand of hardwoods is the Expressway
between Grayling and Gaylord. One can see
outstanding color just by going for a short ride. There is also a
great eatery atop a hill on the way - one has see the view from that
window to believe that Fall Color is great.
