Family Albums
| The
Home Station Family Albums are stored on selves to
the right of the fireplace. Ma, for the most part is the
author of the albums. That is she is the one that has selected
the pictures for album storage. She is also the one that placed
them on the shelve. Over the years she has done a fantastic job.
Late in the Winter of 2005/2006 Pa decided that he would 'digitize' the Family Albums. It is not his intention to undue Ma's work. Pa's intention is to expand the distribution of these 'wonderful works of art'. That is if placed on CD and/or DVD several folks can have copies at the same time. There is really no great skill in the accomplishment of this task -- just take the picture out of the album, scan it, save it, rename and what ever else might be needed. At times Pa may even use 'Exifer' and write information to the image file. One of the final tasks will be to use JAlbum and make the Digital Albums - in a since - one Album Book on the shelve. Ma selected the first book at random. It was photos of Christmas 1990-1992. Pa has decided to do the remainder starting in the upper left corner and 'reading' left to right. The second album up was photos of our Puppy Princess. The others will be done in the order specified. Ma, of course can insert at any time a Family Album of her choice. Links to the completed albums are provided below. |
